JLS - Closer to the Xfactor 2008 final
JLS have done it again... they have past the bootcamp stages with their great rendition of Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell's 'Ain't No Mountain High Enough' on Saturday night's episode. It looks like the finals are definitely in reach of the Xfactor final.
Marvin Humes in the Sun - JLS Xfactor

Marvin Humes wowed judges with new crew JLS by belting out Boyz II Men hit If I Ever on Saturday’s auditions.
But we can reveal the singer was in R&B group VS, who were put together by Webbe and had a No7 hit in February 2004 with single Love You Like Mad.
They also had a No11 and No29 before being dropped the following year.
Marvin had handed Webbe, 29, a demo at a footie match in 2003, and the ex-Blue singer was so impressed he put together the rest of the five-piece and acted as their manager.
Even then Marvin was not an unknown. He was in BBC1’s Holby City as tear-away Robbie Waring from 2000 to 2003.When he sang on X Factor with childhood pals JB Gill, Oritse Williams and Aston Merrygold as JLS, judge Cheryl Cole raved: “I love you! I think the industry is missing a boyband and you rule.”
Contestants are allowed to have had previous record deals but not a current contract or manager.
Last night a show source said: “This all just shows how determined Marvin is to make it in music — and he stands a good chance.”

A four-piece London boyband impressed the judges on this week's episode of X Factor. Pop hopefuls JLS told Dermot O'Leary that they want to be the first boyband to win the reality show. JB Gill, Marvin Humes, Oritse Williams and Aston Merrygold, who claimed that their influences include Take That, Boyz 2 Men and Westlife, performed a rendition of 'If I Ever' for the four judges. Cheryl Cole was the first to pass comment, telling the boys: "I love you! I think the industry is missing a boyband and you rule, the vibe is great between you."Dannii Minogue said: "I like your personalities and it's the first time I like each voice in a group."Joining the chorus of approval, Louis Walsh added: "I loved everything about it, you're not contrived, you have an early Motown feel to you."I thought you were absolutely terrific, great voices, very very happy with you."Cheryl concluded the discussion, saying: "I hope I get you in my category."
Who Are JLS?
Boyband JLS consist of four young guys, their names are JB Gill, Marvin Humes, Oritse Williams and Aston Merrygold. They have the most beautiful soulful voices heard in a long time. In their London audition at the O2 arena, they performed a fantastic arrangement of ‘If I Ever’ originally by East 17. The judges loved them and suddenly it became clear why some of the mentors have been trying their best to get their hands on the groups category this year.
